LymeRegisTV is presenting 5 events during ArtsFest Week:
LymeLive! ArtsFest Special Monday 19th September. 7.30pm Woodmead Halls.
Pip Evans will be chatting to the stars and luminaries of ArtsFest, talking to artists and writers about the work they do, and reviewing this years event.
LymeRegisTV Song Contest: The Final! Monday 19th September. 8.30pm Woodmead Halls.
We've invited 3 of the best original songwriters we've found through our Open Mic, Woodfest, Legends Return and other events throughout the year. Each will be presented with a Prize from Andy Cable of Axe-Music. It's an 'Open Mic' night, singers and musicians are welcome to join us.
Music at the Malthouse Wednesday 21st September 7.30pm.
The best of local singers and musicians present an evening of acoustic entertainment, with the accent on participation. We're going to 'jam' on Blowing in the Wind at the end, so please learn the words!
ROCK MASTERCLASS Saturday 24th September 3pm to 6.30pm Woodmead Halls.
Workshop with Irve Davis-Griffiths and Nomad. Bands and musicians are invited to polish up their act and produce cover art for their DVD. Participation is £5 per person, and everyone receives a DVD of their final performance. Irve is a well known face locally, youthworker, musician and music teacher, who runs rockschool camps for teenagers and a studio locally, and the man behind the Mighty Shed events.

We're always aware that whenever we view our video's online, there's a reduction in quality, so to redress the balance, we're going to show a selection on a bigger screen. There'll be an ArtsFest flavour to the evening, we'll show Sally Holmans excellent movie of ArtsFest Artists last year, and the Tracey Emin/Mark Hix interview from a couple of years ago, in amidst a wild mix from our archive, and this years Carnival Procession....

The Final Cry. On 10th August, Phil Street, our popular Town Crier, in an emotional speech, resigned and is moving on to new pastures. Here is the speech, and his Final Proclamation on the steps of the Guildhall.

Lyme's Got Talent II! 9th August, a Carnival Week event. All the acts, and the winners from this great sell-out show. Woodmead Halls packed to capacity, and a real variety from Lyme's talented young people.
WOODFEST! 22nd to 24th July. Proceeds to RNLI. Three days of music from Woodmead Halls, and running almost continually from 2pm Friday until 2am Sunday. It's going to take months to edit and upload all the video, for the time being, here is one number from each band and solo show. Opening of the New Marine Parade Shelters. 9th July. A special day of speeches, dedications, music, and performance, organised by Lyme Regis Town Council, to celebrate the Opening of our new prestigious seafront shelters.
RNLI 150 Years Anniversary 28th July Lifeboat Week.
Blessing of the Boats 29th May. Annual Event with RNLI and Royal British Legion
The Great Cheese Challenge! Organised on Bastille Day by The Town Cheesemonger as a challenge between West Country and French cheeses. A superb event, and an original method of cheese-tasting.
'Open Mic' Session at Woodmead Halls 20th June, featuring the talents of local performers including Julian Shaw & Richard Smith, Mary Ball and Billy Matthews,
ZZ Tops! Sat 18th June. a 'Legends Return to Lyme' show from Woodmead Halls. A spectacular high energy performance from the Toppers!
Adam Sweet 18th June, Woodmead Halls. A short 10 minute clip from this young accompished and professional local blues singer and guitar player, playing the support slot for ZZ Tops.
Bad Apples at the Castle Inn West Coker. A rare trip out of town to film this excellent local rock band. Our very own Mary Land joins the band to sing 'Rocking in a Free World'.
LymeLive! Hub Special 13th June. Filmed during the Hub campaign for the Peoples Millions, Ayvin Rogers chats to Pip Evans about the youth of Lyme Regis. Also featuring Pip in a nostalgic interview with Geoff Baker, about Lyme, and his brilliantly funny book, 'Rock Bottom'.

Mayor-Making Ceremony 23rd June. The Ceremony and speeches from this historic Annual event.
LRTC Full Council Meeting 6th July. Apart from the Public Forum, the main business of the meeting was about appointing reps to public bodies. Unfortunately, we had to cut a lot of the meeting due to poor sound quality caused by councillors testing microphones.
Are Seagulls a Serious Menace? From the Public Forum, 10th August. Vicky Norman speaks about the increasing menace of seagulls. We are making a short video to publicise this issue, and would welcome seagull stories and comments.
LRDT AGM 6th June at Woodmead Halls. Unexpectedly quite a stormy session!

As we reported earlier this year, we are gradually introducing a streamed service on all our channels, and will over the next few weeks be reducing channels from the present 8 down to 5.
MusicTV Channel: Now features more than 12 hours of continuous video on the Channel Front Page
Events Channel: Now features around 7 continuous hours.
Over the next month or two, all our channels will be featuring a continuous 24 hour stream of video, all from the past 12 months, meaning that every time you tune in, you'll be likely to find something different every time....
