Woodmead Social Club: ‘Open Mic’ and ‘Lyme Live’.
Primarily a social evening for the clubs and group members that meet at the hall. Will be a monthly weekday evening in the Small Hall, the bar will be open, and we hope that everyone involved at Woodmead will take this opportunity to get to know each other.
Will feature occasional Lyme Live Specials to focus on town events and What’s On At Woodmead, and a regular ‘Open Mic’ session, an evening for local musicians to sing their songs, and tell their stories etc.
Soloists and duo’s only, we don’t have room for bands, though we’ll have a small PA System.

We are still is continuing to go through changes. In reality, we’re still only at the beginning, having only just completed the transition from our LymeRegisRadio identity, and learning how to use the new TV Channels has been, and still is, a steep learning curve. But we’re making it, and in the 10 months since we launched the LymeRegisTV website, we’ve been very impressed with our progress through the search engines It’s this that is prompting us to look at our site stats in a different way, and to make some changes to the site.
Developments and Changes for the year ahead:

Channels:
At present we have 8 channels, and over the next few months this will be reduced to 5, as follows:
News & Events, Arts & Music, Sport & Leisure, Religion & Spirituality, and Civic and Community.

LymeRegisTV/Radio Streamed Service.
Broadcasting to Lyme and the world from 6pm to Midnight Daily, with a mix of live camera, audio and video shows, as follows:
DJ’s, Presenters for a range of daily music shows: We are looking for some Local Stars who can present a weekly/monthly radio show from their own home.
Live Camera Shows: Live broadcast of music shows and public meetings from Woodmead Halls, and other venues where a broadband connection is available.
Monthly Video News: A round up of the past month in video.
The Archive: Video and audio from our prodigious archive going back to 2004. There are many programmes here that deserve another airing, some stories to be told, and a weekly retrospective of life in Lyme.
All new programmes would be featured on the Stream Channel before being available on the ‘View Again’ Channels.
We need Presenters, Producers, Organisers, DJ’s, just about everything you need to fly a full time radio station. If you’re interested in taking part in this major venture, please talk to us.

We cover an average of 3 events weekly, we would like to do more, but we are only a small team. We now have 5 camcorders, and we are quite happy to loan them to anyone who wants to film events for their own organisation. When we first started with LymeRegisRadio in 2004, there was no one like us out there. There was no YouTube, no Twitter, Facebook was still an idea and uploading soundfiles to the net took hours in a very complex process. We are non profit making and have no funding. We do it for fun, and intend to continue in the same way. All we have is time, and most of that is taken up by filming programmes, editing them, and uploading to the main website. That is to say, we’ve taken LymeRegisTV to the top by getting out there and putting the hours in, not by throwing money at Google!
