LEGENDS RETURN: PAUL LAMB & THE KINGSNAKES

No doubts, the first show in our series was brilliant, a total out and out success, and from the moment the Mark Foxhall Band opened the show, we knew it was a great night. The room rocked from the start. Interesting, to see Mark playing with a completely different outfit, and a different sound we've heard from him at other gigs. This was cool jazz to beat the coolest. Into Miles Davis within seconds of hitting the stage, and the band gave it all they had. An illustrious band too, including Fat Marrow Blues Band harp man, Richie Harmsol, and none other than Richard Steward, the ultra cool Headmaster of Woodroffe School. Thet played almost 15 minutes over their allotted 40, but no one had the heart to stop them.

From the moment Mer announced them, Paul Lamb had the audience on their feet. Opening with Ryan Lamb, son of Paul on guitar, followed by the rest of the band, grins all round, close ups on the camera, was like a non stop roller coaster till the end of the first spot.
